Interceptor Sampling and Maintenance

We offer a complete range of Interceptor Maintenance and Cleaning options.

Interceptors are designed to prevent oils, silts and solids entering your industrial effluent discharge – any other chemicals and detergents which mix in water can pass through interceptors and can cause a breach of your discharge consent. Failure to meet strict discharge consents set by Scottish Water can lead to significant fines.

To ensure compliance and peace of mind, it is important that interceptors have a regular maintenance schedule. However, rather than expensive interceptor emptying and cleaning, we have developed our sampling service which includes:

• Onsite Sampling by our Trained Technicians
• Supply of all Lifting and Sampling Equipment and Containers
• Schedule Sampling
• Independent testing in approved UKAS laboratories in line with Scottish Water Protocol
• Reporting with indication of Pass or Fail and any Actions Required.

Where Interceptor Maintenance is required, we can arrange the following:

• Tanker Hire to skim or empty interceptors
• Jetting and cleaning of interceptors
• CCTV inspections
• Treatment and disposal of all collected interceptor waste
